Summer Studying

Everyone hates finals, right? Well what if you made studying fun? Everyone goes to the library to study and it's nearly impossible to study at home so why not study outside? That's what Mitch and I decided to do. We grabbed our chalk, grass mats and an ice cold coca cola and headed to the streets. We did tons of studying.. we almost filled up all of the sidewalks and walkways. We even amazed people by magically performing some integrals and partial fractions. I think i did pretty good on that test too. I guess we'll see.

Thursday Night Bowling!!!

Bowling night is the one night a week that Engineers put down their calculators and homework and practice their social skills! This is probably the one day a week that they socialize, and trust me, they need it. We go bowling every thursday at 10 PM (after everyone has done homework) and have some fun and then usually throw down a movie or something after! I'm not that great, but i've met a lot of people and made a ton of new friends! It's the one day of the week that I really look forward too! I actually didn't start up bowling night, it has been up held by different people through out the years, but the heavens just decided to shine upon me to take charge this time. We've had a great many games, this clip being just a hint of the fun that we have every week. I'm pretty sure that the Logan Lanes loves us now!

Maniacs Run Loose on Mondays

Monday, the weather man said that it would be awesome weather and snow the next day. So, as usual I decided that I need to take advantage of this wonderful weather and go play today, and do homework on the crappy "stay inside" day.

So I called up Dan, we decided that hitting at the cages or throwing the ball might be a bit hard with a sprained wrist... So we called up Eli. Eli had the brilliant idea of "Soccer-Tennis" at the park. So, Dan, Eli and I all met up at the park and threw down some hard core soccer tennis! Well okay, so maybe not hard core, but it was WAY fun! I found out that it may be hard to be on the same team as Dan when talking about the Jazz. We seem to forget about everything else going on at the time. Well after, we headed up to the Quad to play some Ultimate Frisbee for FHE. So Eli may have beaten Dan and I in Soccer-Tennis, but we trashed him in Ultimate. After a very long intense and competitive game of Ultimate, We all headed over to my place to watch the 2nd half of the Jazz game.

After the Jazz win, we all met over at "Oontz Parlor" (The Crazy's) and went to play pool at the Field House. After barely losing to Spike, (not to mention I helped him by hitting in like 3 of his) I took on Wing and lost miserably. As we left the field house, we walked past the sorority "Alpha Chi Omega" in which spike had an epiphany. Apparently the girls of the sorrority gave my boys some crap about the Boomerang Club. Well, Spikes grand idea was to steal their sign and cut off the Omega and make a boomerang out of it for pure club pride. So, we met back up at the "Oontz Parlor" for the briefing. The plan was Eli and I were to drive the Volvo up to the front on a green light, pop the trunk, let spike and paul load the sign in the back, close the trunk and leave no evidence behind. AND if anything goes wrong, we DROP THE SIGN and meet up at the specified meeting house.

Well, here's what ended up happening:
12:35AM- Eli and I park on the side of the road awaiting the "okay" from Spike and Paul
12:40AM- (We have no idea what took them so long) We get the "okay" from Spike and Paul to move in; ready in position.
12:41AM- Drive by once; too many people watching and not a green light/ while spike and paul try to act inconspicuous sitting on the curbside.
12:44AM- Pull up in front of sorrority; spike and paul carry sign over to the trunk; eli popped trunk; spike tried to push the sign in the back... TRIED... (if you can't tell by my hint, it wouldn't fit)
12:45AM- 4 people (2 guys and 2 girls/1 of which was wearing pink... it was not one of the girls) walk out of the sorrority while spike nervously tries to shove the sign in the trunk.

12:45-46AM-Well as they walk out, it took them a while to realize what we were doing. Well, Paul tells Spike to take it and run?!?! Well, I turn around and see that Spike and run off. Eli looks at me and asks if he dropped it and ran; well i told him half of that was true. We looked over to see Spike, in his bright orange shorts and buzzed hair running away with the sign bouncing over his head in FLIP FLOPS! Eli flashed his brights on him and we laughed our heads off! Well as we started to drive off, we saw the two guys running after them. Eli and I drove to try to pick them up, but couldn't find them. Fearing for Spikes beautiful chizzeled figure in getting the crap beat out of, Eli tries calling him and telling to just ditch the sign and run. Well, of course he was not thinking, because Spike clearly cannot pick up his own cell phone while outrunning the heroic sorority boyfriends. (one, still wearing pink) So i told him to call Paul, well turns out he didn't have Paul's we just kept driving and hoped for the best.
(may i mention that all of this happened only in a matter of seconds.)
12:50AM- Met back at the "Oontz Parlor"; Spike informed Eli and I of what we had missed. Apparently one of the guys had caught up to them and took the sign back. Luckily "Pinky" was big and slow and never got to beat the crap out of Spike.

Glow-in-the-Dark Boomerangin'

Claire and I after a nice little session of Glow-in-the-Dark Boomerangin! That was a BLAST!! Although the boys said they had the "rangs" covered... they couldn't seem to make them glow-in-the-dark. So as smart as guys are... they kept throwing them and we kept losing them in the snow. Let's just say that Claire is brilliant when it comes to search grids. BUT it was tons of fun and we ended up finding the lost "rangs" the next day on the Quad after the snow melted.

(You know, it takes a lot of practice to get to Rangs to come back to you, but it seems to be that when you throw it in the dark and you can't see it, they always come right back to you... ouch!)

It's a first!!

I'm just checking to see if this works...
Since this is the first time using a blog, I've got to see if i can figure this stuff out! So bare with me! I got this so i can share pics with the whole family! Let me know if you like this idea or not!
